Snapped

Updated: Jan 24, 2023

She accused me of ruining her life

The woman who was once my wife

She had called me about leaving

Then she left, this horrible grieving

Don’t label me as unfair

Because my mind is clear

You said you had the affair

On a dare, see these very pains I bear

You are stirred to take a walk

Out on a love that was a rock

And throw away our wedlock

Into the eddies at the dock

Love only holds what is dear

To have a mind that is clear

But my love was not enough

So, we went back and forth

Yet, you are not emotionally satisfied

With your state of mind and injured pride

But you were once my bride

Now, my new life you want to bestride.
