Tear In the Back

A sudden flash when it gyres a chirrup

But it couldn't make out the close-up.

Inside, detached lights float in syrup.

Eyes in trouble feel the unwell maze.

This tearing curtain streams not a face.

Reflective screen girds a darkening gaze.

It speaks about a purblind to the rear.

Eyes that flash see floaters and bear

an abrupt tear in windows to its soul.

Its retina dances quick steps into a hole.

The doctor squints a remedy for the old glow.

Fate resolves to rake my eye over the coals.
